About

Peter Milo is a writer, photographer, and artist of little to know reknown — but he’s working on it.

Raised in Brooklyn, he was an hyperactive and creative child. He loved reading, riding his BMX, exploring the salt water marsh that ringed his neighborhood, and re-watching The Goonies over and over again. Back then he wanted to grow up to be one, or a combination of the following:

  • An X-Wing Pilot
  • A Ghostbuster
  • Indiana Jones
  • James Bond
  • Batman

He didn’t become any of those, and because of that he considers himself a failed adult.

When he was 13 his family moved to rural Pennsylvania. He didn’t adjust well to country life. He preferred hanging out in the school library, or smoking cigarettes in the woods over football and homecoming. However, he did update his life goals to include “investigate the X-Files.”

He’s still holding out hope for that one.

After a year of college, and then an ill advised two year stint in Allentown, PA. Peter finally moved back to New York City. He bounced from job to job, and borough to borough, until he eventually finished his bachelors at The New School. His concentrations were in creative writing, screenwriting, and photography.

Currently Peter is enrolled in the Biography and Masters M.A. program at The CUNY Graduate Center, and he’s now splitting his time between researching his thesis, drafting his first novel, and spending too much time in whatever Bethesda video game has caught his fancy.

He’s based in Brooklyn, where he lives with his partner (and very patient) editor, and an orange short-haired tabby named Boris.
